Part 1: When meeting someone, how do you keep the conversation going?

Watch this video about maintaining conversations.

In the comment section, write down three "canned" or previously planned questions you can ask someone when you are meeting them.

Part 2:  When discussing topics with someone you know, how do you keep the conversation going?

}Know the topic before speaking.
}Ask questions to learn about the topic.
}Use comments and non-verbal gestures to show you are listening.
(Nod your head, saying “yes” “right” etc.)
}Add information about the topic to the conversation.
}Let everyone have a chance to talk.
}Wait to talk about unrelated topics.
}Practice identifying off-topic remarks.
