Battle for Quebec

During the final years of the Seven Years War in North America, the British and the French fought for control of Quebec City.  The leader of the English in these battles was General James Wolfe and the French was under the command of the Marquis de Montcalm.

The great final battle for Quebec came on the Plains of Abraham on September 13, 1759.  The following is a video on this battle.  Watch and add information onto your organizer.



After the British took control of Quebec, the French army and officials retreated to Montreal.  Eventually, in September 1760 the French surrendered to the British.  New France was now under the control of the British.
